amiga explorer from amiga forever can give you a relatively direct hardware path to write floppy images (.adf files are all over the Internet on abandonware sites).
that only needs a null-modem cable from your pc to the amiga and can write out to floppies in the amiga drive.
of course, in 2013AD, your PC may not have a serial port. :S
another option, easy but starting to get a little on the expensive side, is a solid state floppy drive emulator like a HxC
I find this is the fastest path from "I want to play X" to "Yay, I'm playing X!"
