after any actual games for sc-3000 / sf-7000 on tape or disk, single games or bulk lots. also if anyone has a 5" disk drive working on a sc-3000 I'm VERY interested in that. will pay $$$ but also have stuff to trade if desired.

DISKS? Good lord, I've seen a couple of tapes and everything else has been carts... the drive setups were certainly uncommon.

gibsaw - thanks, I've got all the disk roms available on the net just need a way to play them on my sc-3000

carcenomy - disks are bloody rare, I'm well aware of that. but they are out there though, mostly in the hands of collectors I suspect

I have a Sega SC-7000, Amstrad CPC-6128 and ZX Spectrum +3, so I'm always on the lookout for 3" disks!

I don't have any 3" disk software for the Sega and haven't explored options for writing the floppies yet. If you find out how to do it I'd be keen to learn :)

It was suggested that the disk images were downloading using the SF7000's serial port. I'm totally guessing here, as I possess neither the download software or the sega to do it on, but surely the process would be reversible? (i.e. write an image back to a disk.)

(although blanks of those 3" disks must be rarer than rocking horse s***)

If that's not doable, can something else with a 3" drive write the disks? Maybe an amstrad? does anyone else know?

I don't have a disk BASIC for the Sega, so reversing the serial<->disk transfer on the Sega could be a problem until I get one. I have no idea about raw disk writing on the Amstrad or Spectrum +3, but I have both machines. I even have some blanks :)
