Not really in the market for one of these anymore (unless a Yamaha C1 happened to come up!), but I'd love to see it go to someone on here so we could get a thread with some better pics.

I haven't even heard of that mfgr before. Anyone know any details? Looks like it might be a rebadged Toshiba.

Internet suggests (take it as 'internet facts'):

Made by AI Electronics (possibly a.k.a. Airex)
Likely 286 with CGA, 640Kb, 20Mb

I've asked the seller if it's magically possible for it to appear in Wellington (but I figure the answer will be no and getting on the ferry is a bit much it).

I think it'd be quite a neat little machine. Although I'm hoping that display is either Plasma or Backlit LCD.
LCD without a backlight is just painful to use - like the Toshiba T1200 and early IBM 5140 (which had a $1200 buy now on it this morning :? ).

Seller has said he might be able to drag it across on the ferry, but now my partner is excited for a Picton holiday, either way if bids stay reasonable I'll be bidding.

Well you can't beat that price can you? And way to save it from the RonTurner black hole. Nice going.

Cheers. Still waiting to hear back from the seller - hopefully I get a reply tonight.

I'm planning on giving him more than two dollars though, just to make up for the hassle of shipping or dragging it across the ferry.
Quite excited about it because I haven't had a new machine in a while.

Epic win. Owner can meet me in town after the 30th, so it doesn't even have to get mangled up by a courier driver.
Sweeeet. Have to wait a week+ though.

This lives too!
Just needs a new CMOS battery.

286/10 640Kb with EGA/CGA
Black and orange plasma, just like the Toshiba's of the era.

Today has been good to me.
