New Year's resolution. Getting rid of unwanted gear

Postby tezza on Thu Jan 01, 2015 4:56 pm

Hi guys,

During January I'll be waging war with my hoarder side, and will be getting rid of some unwanted gear. I'll drip these onto Trade Me as I get this time. The first one is a PS/2-286 case which is here:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =828621438

I've mentioned a $20 "pack and P.O. delivery" charge of $20 over and above the cost of postage if people don't want to or can't pick the item up. However, this is negotiable for active members of these forums. If you are a genuine vintage computer enthusiast and have contributed to this community, I don't mind packing the case up for you for some nominal amount (if any). If you do bid and win, PM me after the auction.

EDIT: SOLD (to Spidersweb)

Ahhh, seems we think alike. I have unboxed everything I have into my poor garage - kicked out the cars.
Now, I'm testing everything, and things I don't need will be up for grabs.

Stay tuned.

I love excess PC parts.
Nobody happens to have a spare hard drive for this case do they? I've had a second Model 30-286 in my cupboard for a while with no HDD and a nasty case.

Actually I might be able to help you there Jono. I do have a spare drive. Let me check it tonight. I'll get back to you via PM.

How much do you reckon the postage to Auckland would be for the IIe? Cheers

Not sure. I don't want to pack it up yet in case the future buyer collects it in person. It's not very heavy though so I would think $25 to $35 would probably be in the ballpark.

Yes, that one didn't last long at all.

Auckland Apple IIe and Monitor buyers may get free shipping

Postby tezza on Mon Jan 05, 2015 9:04 pm

Some information for those considering bidding on the Apple IIe platinum or the Apple Colour Monitor.

I'll be driving to Auckland this weekend returning to Palmerston North on Tuesday 13th. I'll take the computer with me. If anyone in Auckland wins either of these items, they will have the option of arranging a pickup from my hotel Monday evening before I leave. Also, if anyone who lives roughly along State highway 1 from Auck to Palmy wins either of them, I could deliver the item(s) to them on my way back on Tuesday.
