Yea. LOL. I like that one too. The bidder is actually a member on here. He drops in occasionally.

Well mr "wifedoesntknow" is the trader who turned nasty and abused me when i hadnt answered his question/demand within 24hours, i had to get trademe staff to remove his nasty comment before it became public at end of auction, hes not one of my favourite traders.

Just to balance the coin, I have traded with wifedoesntknow. He also helped me source a rare chip free of cost. My dealings with him have been very positive.

I guess im not so much the fan of wifedoesntknow because i was abused by him..... had he helped me source a rare chip instead of being abusive then no doubt i would have a different opinion.

Hope his wife finds out LOL.

Well, the first batch of clearout stuff has gone quite well. A few items didn't sell, but not many. There is a little bit more room and at least the broken and/or surplus stuff is not simply mocking me now. :)

This is the most I've ever sold at one time. I have to admit finding suitable material (boxes, packing stuff), boxing up then shipping the Apple IIe and monitor was a hassle. If I was retired it would be no problem but with so many things (job, theatre, family) competing with my time, I'll think twice about shipping large items next time. If I ever sell one of the Lisas, it will definitely be a pick up! Pick ups will restrict the market but I guess that's the price of living in a smaller place. :)

On the positive side, at least I can afford a house! :D

Interestingly the person who picked up the Mac SE case (for $1) was a young teacher in her '20s. She wanted it as a classroom exhibit to show her class the way technology used to be. I'm pleased about that. It was in very good condition and baby Macs are an iconic design. To be used for display, or show and tell is an entirely appropriate use of it.

Another item surplus to requirements. A commodore 1541-II drive. No PSU or serial cable but it does work. Anyone need a spare or replacement?
