If you're after amiga's, this person seems to be selling quite a lot.

Yes, I'm staggered at the amount of Amiga 500s that appear in Trade Me. They seem as common as mud. On the other hand, I've got friends in the US to which the Amiga 500 is a rare beast indeed!

Ah yes, that would be the guy who says he's clearing out the garage, yet was bidding on auction http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=358577898 (A1200, A600, A500, 25 boxed originals, 6 boxes software) at the same time, to which he also commented in the Q&A he has a similar amount to that auction arriving from elsewhere.

It seems to be a clearing out the junk and stripped parts type auction to make way for better stuff. I'd be hesitant bidding on anything like that but he does say the A500s all work and the price is pretty fair so someone could make a buck on it all with a motivated and involved selling effort. When bidding on bulk auction lots, there's a certain serendipitous pleasure in that odd gem turning up (for me anyway) which probably isn't present in this one.

I have my left eye on the A1000 up for auction at the moment (the right's on the TV screen).

Ok, I was going to start a new thread with the same name but seeing this one is here already, it will do.

I just wanted to comment on the huge amount of Amiga stuff that seems to be flowing through Trade Me at the moment. It's a flood!

T if you check his feed back you will find he is always buying them in blocks most often when they are faulty, he seems to be also from his purchases into repairing faulty electronics, so he is prbably making pocket money with them.

Also if you follow where they came from , most are from the Christchurch area, probably all the red zone houses now clearing out so they can move to a new dwelling, and don't want to take stuff with them that they have not used for years., not just Amigas a lot of C64's Acorns etc.

Yeah the C64 stuff has gone absolutely nuts, it's staggering.

And on top of that Alan's been clearing out his cupboards... someone else picked up the 3.5" drive for a 500 that I was bidding on sadly, but there'll be more service parts showing up undoubtedly.
