A boxed Macintosh 128K with various boxed accessories and merchandise on eBay. Shame about the shipping.

Yup. The last large item I had shipped from the US (a TRS-80 Model 4) cost about that. The actual sale cost of the item was $15!

But..if you really, really want something you pay the price even though it might take it well above "market value". In the end, it's what it's worth to YOU, and that doesn't always square with what others would pay for it.

Good lord, I shipped a full set of Eibach lowering springs for less than that. How is that even remotely justifiable on an item as small as a Mac 128K?

Yes that does seem excessive for a baby mac. Now i think of it the model 4 was about $380 NZ not US. ..And that is way larger and heavier than a Mac 128!

It includes a StyleWriter and all manner of other bits and pieces, but even then it still seems over the top. I don't have anywhere near that much to spend, so it's academic really.

Oooooh, that's a nice 128 nama. Do tell though, what speed IS the accelerator, and is it an '020 or an '030? The label isn't clear at all on the topic.

Nice original Mac.

I note that's a Japanese version of the operating system too.

Actually I have no idea which processor it uses, and at what speed it runs. I received it recently from a friend who was downscaling his office, so I don't know much about it and he can't remember...Anyway, i've decided to donate $400 from the sale to the earthquake appeal here in Japan...there was just another big one about 20 mins ago. Will the shaking ever stop.
