This is terribly off topic, but here goes anyway.

WelshWizard wrote:are you Chris? I see you have been a Trademe member almost as long as me.

I see you signed up in December 1999 with member number 5131. Chris signed up March 2000 with member number 10219 - that's about 1600 new users per month (it does appear that member numbers are sequential). What's interesting is that the earliest member number on record is 1003 - also in December 1999, and the highest member number in December 1999 is 6895 - meaning that TradeMe opened it's doors and gained at least 5980 members in the first month of operation. That's pretty good going!

My membership number is 1097. I was probably looking for old computers.

EDIT: Actually, it appears that I sold something to someone using the named Andrew, going by kabl00ey, registered in Kapiti. I wonder if that was my original Macintosh Plus? I remember selling a Plus to someone in the Wellington region about then.

Yeah apparently :)

I saw a pair of CD32s today and opened bidding but cjr clearly had deeper pockets than I do. Which is fine, hell I'd be happy with just a bare Spellbound Rev2 PAL board for one of my existing ones, so I can wait.

I was really after the A1200 tonight but I was beaten by deeper pockets too. :D

Ehhhhh the 1200 I wasn't too stressed about. It was an ESCOM era one anyway. Would mean 3.1 ROMs by default, but not so keen on the le dodge floppy drive scenario. How much did it go for in the end? Seems 1200 pricing has stayed consistent for well over a decade... I paid $200 for my current 1200HD40 way back in 2000.
