Bugger. froggy2 has started bidding on it. There goes another device off overseas. Has anyone worked out whether froggy2 is buying for eBay or something else?

Ahh for every item he exports, I probably import 3 from the US ehehe

Shame it's not working, but it is pretty awesome just how complete it is.

p.s. any luck with the 5150 board? Will be making a diags ROM you can borrow once I get my monitor back.
p.p.s. froggy2 is listed as Palmy North?

Yeah, it's interesting though - froggy2 has made statements that make it clear s/he is buying on behalf (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=473#p2386) and while s/he lists lots of stuff, I've never seen any of the computers, calculators or similar make it back onto Trademe.

I have never once seen anyone win an auction that froggy2 is bidding on.

I'd like to think that one day we'll suddenly see a Museum of Portable and Handheld Computers open up in Palmerston North - I'd be one of the first to visit :)

No mention of it being tested so I asked

"When was the last time you had it running and able to check the system out?"

the sort of thing you could call nearly a classic, but has potential as I doubt if many of them are around.

There's a whole lotta guesswork going on in this thread. Someone needs to ask him/her/it (could be a bot ?) on an auction.

I hear that someone in Dunedin is suppose to have one of the biggest calculator collections around. The person can't be sourcing them from anywhere in Dunedin as the only ones I ever find in stores/fairs (and that's only a few a year) tend to be of the boring 70s basic functions Panasonic variety that no one buys on trademe for more than a fiver. Maybe Froggy's the source?
