Yessir, a real 8-bit ISA Creative SoundBlaster!
You don't see these very often...

I'm already bidding, but admittedly not sure how high I'll actually go.
That guy has so much neat stuff and I've talked with him and it sounds like there is a lot more there including some machines that aren't for sale.
Asked him if he had a hercs mono and he said he does but uses it to keep some of his XT machines in check and "NO YOU CANT HAVE IT" lol!

and it's boxed.

That brings back memories of how much it cost back in '92 (or thereabouts). On top of the outrageous $3.5K (I think) for the 386SX-20 (soon upgraded to DX-33), we (meaning dad) had to add on an extra $399 (or thereabouts) to get the SoundBlaster 2.0 to get sound. My memory ain't too hot, especially seeing I wasn't paying.

I do regret not buying the Disney Sound Source on trademe a few years back. I've only ever seen one of them listed.

Just listening to ModPlay I found on the tube :

MODPLAY PRO v2.19 MSDOS : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3k-nAkhiCU

Considering how common these were in the day it's surprising how rare they are now??

Not as common as you'd think. I've never seen a real one up close. Seen one SB Pro, and more SoundBlaster 16s and ViBRA16s than one man should look at. But never an original SoundBlaster...

The first PC sound cards I ever spotted were in early multimedia 486 machines, normally SB16's bundled with a proprietary CDROM.
Before that generation I'd never seen or used one, just seen the mysterious options when starting my games haha

My first PC soundcard was a "Thunder Board" - cheap Sound Blaster "compatible" card.
Definately had issues getting it to run with some games :/
