I was quite surprised to see the 486 PS/1 go for as much as it did. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =555538302

Maybe the fact that it had "IBM" on the front and having the two types of fdd had something to do with it. Anyway, I'm sure the winner will be happy with it. Good tidy 486s don't come up that often.

Yes, I'm sure the badge did make a difference (it was enough for me to add it to my watchlist) and it was tidy.

I was keen as well, but the bids went too high for a 486 (IBM or not).

Once his house overflows someone else will get a chance

He's keen on the Amiga and Mac gear I put up, he won the auction for the A300 and an Amiga reference guide and is also leading on the A2000 and both Macs.

I'm hoping that will be one of my auctions :D - perhaps on the Amstrad PcW9256 I'm going to list soon..... Would be fun to watch anyway.

Not so sure about the PCW, but fingers crossed for you. CPC or PC should bring in some solid funds though.

I know nod10 is building a collection to enjoy/restore when he retires. Don't know the others. Was surprised I managed to survive the Magnum MK-II auction.
