I gave in and won this TM auction last night

Plans are to just give it a bit of a clean up, add some ram, source a replacement scsi hdd just in case and that's about it. I'll create space some where as a dedicated shine in the closet to it's developers. I don't want the 286 and 386 to get to envious you know.

The main draw card was it worked and had a fair number of disks with it. Being basicly the first model in the SE line and has the potential for updating helped as well. Not that I will get too carried away with that aspect. Used something similar in the late '80s for desktop publishing service manuals, so a bit of nostalgia also comes into play.
The youtube sales video was a hoot.

Do you know if it's had THOSE capacitors replaced? Relatively easy to do if it hasn't.

The seller is going to drop it off on the weekend, so no need to worry about courier damage.

Well it turned and I've given it a a bit of a clean and it looks a bit better. Indeed it does boot up as advertised. Has to give the mouse rollers a bit of a clean too achieve a smooth action. Quite please. Most of disks that came with it are HD with Mac OS 7 & 7.5, MS Word 6 and Excel for Mac, HyperCard, as well as some printer and Pascal disks.
Turned out the seller and his wife were looking at a house in Foxton.
