IBM PS2 Model 70

Postby PersonalSystem2 on Mon Feb 21, 2011 9:05 pm

I need some technical and parts help with my PS2. The technical help I need is I need to know the maximum amount of RAM on the motherboard. The parts help I need is, I'm hoping that somebody has a PS2 in a scrap pile as I'm in desperate need of the plastic front panel and a complete drive cage. I brought my PS2 through eBay and it turned up smashed  I have a MCA RAM card fully populated with 30 pin simm RAM for a possible part exchange.

Any help would be gratfully appreciated

I don't know too much about the technical details of the PS/2 70. Mine has 6MB RAM and the three slots are full. However, this article says you can have 8MB on board.
http://members.chello.at/theodor.lauppe ... 2/8570.htm I guess it depends on what RAM sticks you use.

I'd don't have any spare cages or bezels unfortunately.
