Apple II SCSI card?

Postby Antiphrasis on Sat Feb 08, 2014 4:01 pm

I was prepping some miscellaneous items for Trademe and what I thought was an Apple II parallel card seems to actually be a SCSI card. Does anyone know much about these?

Google suggests it might be a SASI (predates SCSI) hard disk controller. There are some images of the same board if you put "xebec apple II sasi" into Google Image search. Not much info other than that.

Other pictures I've found with similar cards from this company where they're labeled SASI cards have older dates and slightly different layouts, however further research seems to indicate you may be correct. That said, other things I've read indicate that SASI is SCSI-1 compatable.
