Collection for sale

by Antiphrasis » Wed Dec 14, 2011 9:23 pm

As I mentioned in my intro various reasons have forced me to specialise my collecting more that it was previously. This means I do have a number of systems and associated bits that I'll be looking to sell (although I would possibly consider a swap in some cases) for hopefully enough money to clear some debt and to put aside for future acquisitions. I was intending to list on Trademe but having found these forums I would like to post a list here first, I'm open to any fair offers from fellow collectors.

OK, this first list is going to be just the systems I know I have around, unfortunately my storage system at the moment doesn't lend itself to easily getting to things but if someone has a keen interest in something I will see which bits an pieces I can get to. I unfortunately never did get around to recording all the little bits and pieces I have but I do recall a number of interesting things the last time I reorganised my collection.

Other things,
1. Most of this stuff will have to sell as is, I know a lot of it was working 5 years back but I doubt I'll have the time available to test everything now.
2. I'm happy to ship practically anywhere if you're willing to pay P&P costs.
3. Pickup is OK too is you can get to central Auckland.

The list so far:

Acorn
BBC Model B
BBC Master 128 (I have at least a couple of stock ones and one that was modded with a 3.5" drive if I recall correctly)

AMSTRAD
PCW 8256 (I have some 3" disks for this although I never got around to fixing the 3" drive in this one)
CPC 464 (I recall a number of original cassette titles for these)
CPC 6128 (I have a fair amount of software on 3" disk, and some boxed titles)

Apple
II+ (Europlus?) I could have a couple of these one has a brace of 5.25" drives still attached)
IIe
IIGS (this is a US one, and I should have manuals and software for it too, it was certainly working when I last had it running although it's been stored for more than 7 years since then)
Lisa 2 (I've a couple of these, one was working when I obtained it the other had the PSU go bang, I have keyboards and in theory mice although I suspect these are boxed somewhere, I also have a Profile but no cable to connect it to the Lisa)

Atari
65XE
130XE
800XL (I have a number of boxed systems one US others UK or local. Also various bits and bobs such as floppy and tape drives, some original software I think)

COMX
Comx-35 (Just the computer, no power adapter)

DSE
VZ200 (Just the computer I think)

Sinclair
ZX 81
ZX Spectrum (I have a number of these with a fair amount of cassette based software, most were in working condition)
ZX Spectrum+ (boxed)

Spectravideo
SV 328

I've not done any recent research on values, of the XE's the 65XE was working with powerpack and a manual. The 130XE I have two of and these are just the computers, no PSU but one I have had working previously, the other I don't recall testing but physically it's in good condition. If I recall correctly the 65XE is harder to find than the 130XE's.

Wooo, I'm keen on various bits and pieces of original software, with a priority on Amstrad CPC software. Very interested in a Lisa but I think it would be a while before there's enough on the mortgage to draw back upon for one of these rarities.

It's great you're offering up here first. I'm sure everyone's grateful for this rare opportunity where it all hasn't gone straight to trademe.

I am after just the computer I have plenty of PSU and Disk Drives every 130XE I have has a faulty Key matrix by Mitsumi, so if the one XE works on the KB but not else where I don't mind, not yet got a 65XE in the collection.

Me too. It's nice to get a heads up.

As am I. (Fireman can you be a little more specific about what you're after?)

My current list of things I'm looking for is :-
- a NZ (A2M201x?) "Monitor II" green screen. (This would match my "non-enhanced" NZ PAL IIe nicely)
- a USA (A2M6020) Apple colour monitor. I have an NZ one and it won't display colour with my USA machines.
- a II+ europlus with disk II's if you have it.
- Any nice condition IIe would also be considered. A working IIe platinum would be nice. (mine doesn't.)

I'm also usually interested in miscellaneous spares. (cards, memory, cpu's, other chips, disk drives, keyboards, PSU's etc.)

Particularly :-
- An original (tall power light) Apple II Keyboard.
- A PDS Ethernet card to fit a Mac LC series. (Annoyingly, I disposed of many of these during my tenure at Auckland uni. Hindsight's a bitch.)
- A "Zip 8000" (Apple II Accelerator)
"dsakey" on trademe. Apple II's are my thing.

I 'might' have an Apple II monitor somewhere but I can't see it at the moment; but I do have a heap of AMSTRAD gear, computers, manuals and software. Are you after anything specific?

Thanks, personally I'd much rather these go to genuine collectors than some Trademe member with deep pockets trying to relive their youth.

That said, I still hope to get some return on on these due to my use of the argument "they'll be worth heaps in 10 years or so" a few times when arguing for an acquisition or two with 'she who must be obeyed'... I suspect from the threats to hire a skip and bin them she considers them more junk than treasure so it would be nice to prove her wrong.

I'll see about getting you a more complete list of what I have, or at least a few photos of the stuff.
