Just curious what 8bit and 16bit Mags were available in New Zealand

I bought a car in Birmingham and on the way to the ferry in Wales passed Ludlow....which brought me back to reading up on the the famous Zzap64 and I found this .......

http://www.zzap64.co.uk/ludlow/

I'm loving reading Terry's scans of B&B he kindly put up as I always love reading old mags, esp ones which are new to me

I have a full set of INPUT mags complete in binders which I would never sell, most of them I bought back in the day, they have been scanned here

http://www.bombjack.org/commodore/magaz ... /input.htm

Gotta love the artwork on those old mags :) worth looking at for this alone !

I also have loads of Amiga Computing mags which I loved for their programming and serious content

Just a thought maybe a link or section to all old computer mags would be nice ? I can help with this

We pretty much got most the UK and US Magazines here in NZ back in the 80's. (I have over 400 here in boxes). Big K, C&VG, Sinclair User, Your Sinclair, Home computing weekly, Crash, Zzap, Your Computer (the UK one - had loads of Machine code listings which is why I would buy it), Byte, Personal Computing Today, etc, etc...

I'd buy them 90% of the time for the game listings to type in. Pretty much that's what most magazines were for me - a source of software.

These were imported by Gordon and Gotch, and obviously by surface since we were pretty much always 3 months behind in every magazine.

I agree that a section dedicated to old magazines is a must have for any vintage computing resource. Some other great magazine archives:
ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/magazines/
https://archive.org/details/computermagazines
http://www.atarimagazines.com/

That said, nothings better then the real thing as I'm sure you'll agree!

Now I feel like I need to go downstairs and read a few... But I have work to do, so need to avoid distractions! lol!

Certainly put any links you know of in this forum. People can bookmark them.

For a while I was snaffling up old PC Gamers and Amiga magazines, have them rather unceremoniously in a magazine rack in the bathroom ;)

Some of them I've had for years though, including one about Duke Nukem Forever from 1996. I waited all those years, and I think I was maybe the only person who didn't think that the end result was a total waste of time.
