For those with deep pockets

Continuing from references in a previous thread, I've listed just a few of the items tried for sale on trademe for those people where price is not an object and even gain status and fame by flaunting how much you pay for something.

There were a number of over priced items of computer & gaming interest to choose from, however the ones listed here are a few by people that despite repeated friendly advice by more knowledgeable people, seem to have their own ideas and estimates of value, and by my estimate are out by a factor of about 10. But each to their own.

Would love the Spectrum collection, but only at a reasonable price. I admit I probably falsely indicate interest and inflate the counter by looking at the auction, but that is only because I go in there to see if anyone else has commented on it.

Yes, that Spectrum one gets me every time...LOL.

How many times has it been on Trade Me now? I can't really understand the rational for that kind of reserve price if the buyer wants to actually sell it. Sure, everyone's got a right to test the wind so to speak but why keep offering it at that sort of price when it's obvious no one is interested? It's puzzling.

lol. Reminds me of a US Apple IIe listed on trademe for months and months - untested and everything was 110v - I wasnt watching it as I wasnt initially that interested, but after seeing it relisted so many times (i think start/reserve was $150) - I asked if the seller would be interested in taking $50 for it - he banned me lol!

Dunno if he ever ended up selling it.
