My take on the Sega SC-3000. My first video - so apologies for any bits you don't like!!

Very informative, the image was clear and lighting was good. The environment seems a lot tidier and more spacious than my grotty workbench. I might have to lift my game

Nice to see some docs and mags there. I try to get hold of those kind of things for my computers too.

It was to good to see the Mega-cart. I guess that's about all you need really? How many games can it hold?

I have had the same problem with card edges. I tend to clean them with an eraser but if it's a tight space, an eraser can't fit in there. Interesting to hear that paper works too.

It was much harder than I thought!! Had a few retakes. Filmed it all on my Canon 7D through a pretty good lens, so it is quite clear. Although, I better get the focus sorted for the next one.

The multicart holds something like 40 carts - honestbob dropped it off to me the other day. It is great. He is the SC-3000 guru for sure. I pretty much have everything I need for the SC-3000 on that cart. Kind of like the CFFA3000 for the Apple // in a way.

The idea of using paper for cleaning connectors turns out to be quite good because you can see the oxidisation leaving the scene of the crime - and once the paper rubs up with no blackening on it - you are good to go. It takes a while, but is effective.

This will be the last video for a while as I return to work on Monday after the Xmas break (bummer).

Cool video and incredible timing, my brother gave me a boxed VIC20 for my birthday (isn't it nice when family members share hobbies?) that I've yet to get around to playing with. Interestingly it uses the same powerpack - I'm assuming it was Commodore saving a few bucks by standardizing the powerpack between the VIC and C64.

Ahhh.. the zx-spectrum.

I never owned one, but it was certainly the first computer I touched. Even before my school had Apple II's, I was a starstruck 10 year old who had gone to work with my dad on nightshift at remuera telephone exchange and someone had one set up in the office there.

I'm not even sure why dad took us into work that night. I actually think his colleage may have offered to let us have a play - but he had loaded (slowly and painfully from cassette) a flight-simulator on it and very generously allowed me and my eight year old brother to use it.... and that was it.

I was hooked.

Great Speccy overview! One day I'd like to pick up a rubber keyboard version again (and because I dunno if my one will run after all these years of abuse). I tossed the old case many years back after I upgraded to the DK'tronics keyboard (primarily cause I bent the metal cover too much while trying to pull out the membrane).

Love my spectrum(s). I managed to get an issue 2 and issue 6a version - I didn't own one as a kid. When I started collecting last year - the spectrum was top of the list (well, after the Apple ][)

Maybe you could do a shootout video between the C64 and the Spectrum - which is the best of the two?
(actually, maybe not - it cannot be answered)
