I've recently found the world of Raspberry Pi and the emulators have rekindled my love of 80s and early 90s computing. I found this site by searching for vintage computers NZ on google to see what was out there.

My first computer was a ZX Spectrum that my father bought. From there it was on to a Commodore 64 and later an Amiga 500. In the early 90s we had an Amiga 2000. I'm not really sure what happened to any of the old machines - would love to have them back! I haven't got a lot of space for having vintage computers and the screens, so I thought I'd look at putting a Pi into a c64 case and running some emulators - best of both worlds.

I'm based in Dunedin, and currently looking for a donor case and can't wait to get into it!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I can relate to the comment about space. I guess with the developments in 3-D printing it's not beyond the pale that a raspberry pi-type machine running an emulators inside 3-D printed cases could be common. keyboards might be harder though. (:

Enjoy the discussions!
