hello

I've been intro microcomputers since I was in school, I remember playing BBC, Commodore 64 and Sega SC-3000 at friends houses although never actually owned one... till i grew up, got a job and started buying old video games. right now though I'm downsizing a lot of my collection and only keeping a few systems. for some reason I'm compelled to keep my SC-3000 collection (but sold my C64) and try to obtain as much tape and disk software for it as possible. so i figured this might be the place to go as it seems this system was quite popular in NZ

Hi and welcome to the forums,

Hope your search for more SC-3000 artifacts is successful. You would have seen the page at http://www.sc-3000.com/ no doubt. Hopefully you can hook up with one or more enthusiasts on here.

We all have our favourite machines. What is it about the SC-3000 that makes it a loved system for you?

Yeah there's a few SC3000s around, I've got both the SC3000 and the SC3000H with the nicer hard keyboard. Quite a neat little system, though I grew up with Commodores so not quite the same level of attachment as I have for my C64s and Amigas :)

hi tezza - yes I know that site, theres only a few sc-3000 sites around I have them all bookmarked. what makes it a loved system for me? a little bit of nostalgia, but mostly because of it being almost exclusive to my home country (and NZ).

carcenomy - I grew up with the c64 too so it's got a higher nostalgia value for me also. and its got much better games but I chose to go with the obscure instead. I've got other systems which satisfy my nostalgia
