Has a network card, that's kinda handy. If you buy that I'll grab the drive from it for my A590 :)

Cheers for that.
I didn't grab it because I think it has the same problem as mine (whatever that is!).

Judging by the photo the battery is likely to have been replaced (that brand of battery was dark blue in 1991), and still no chime. I guess it would be useful for spares, so if lizard's cable gets me a sad-mac with a DRAM error or similar and parts would fix, I'll grab it and send Carcemony a hard drive.

If the cable does not work, I'll get a tested logic board sent over from the US. Then I just need to decide LC2, LC3, or LC475 hmm (all are available)

Yes, I get the feeling this is a really common problem. I got an LC II as part of a Wellington haul a couple of years ago. It had been stored well but didn't work...No bong. I can't remember now if the drive spun up or not. Anyway, not being interested in these models I saved the HD (and RAM I think?) and binned the rest.

Probably the cap issue.

Hmm indeed. So $100US for a logic board from the States you reckon? Hit me up, just checked the stash, I got you covered.

Yeah I found them on ebay and worked out the cost, as usual the price is mostly postage costs!
There is a guy selling various boards, all tested with screenshots.

I just grabbed the cable off lizardb0y, so will see what happens tonight, if no luck I'll flick you a PM :) Cheers!

So, on the new cable we have 640x480 @ 60Hz - nice.
Unfortunately still black!
