I'm needing a new keyboard after my M2 got water damaged. I'm after an IBM (F, M, M2 ect.) or another mechanical keyboard that feels solid and makes a lot of noise. Cheers

I have a loud keyboard I don't mind parting with. (maybe for the broken M2?) I think it might be Alps switches, but I'm not sure. It's a Teco/Chicony keyboard. It uses a large DIN connector, but works great with a DIN to PS/2 converter, and even a USB one on the end of that. I can get pictures and a recording of it if you want.

Thanks man, I'm thinking of doing a teensy project to replace the dead 'pcb controller thing' (real technical terms right there). I would be keen to swap or buy the keyboard you mention If I can't repair it.

Oh, awesome! If your project succeeds, be sure to post what you did somewhere! I'm sure there must be other people out there with a broken Model M, but can't bring themselves to bin it.
