Data General DG 1 or DG 2

Postby wallyian on Tue Nov 16, 2010 12:47 pm

Does any one know where I could source one of these , working or not .

Yes I'm old ! I used to carry one everywhere when they were first new and I thought I was so cool .
Now having a little nostalgic walk . Have just got a motorola brick and need to pair it up with the data general laptop . A DG 2 will be acceptable .

You mean one of these http://www.digibarn.com/collections/systems/dg-1/index.html ?

Have but one in the collection which isn't for sale, but the good news is, I've never seen one sell for more than $50 (but the market may be higher now), and even go unsold at around that price. But the bad news is, they're not too common on trademe in Computers/Vintage. One a year if lucky?

I seem to remember seeing one on Trade Me about a year ago. Ex-Wellington civil service machine I think.

Thanks guys. I'm a patient old guy so will wait this out.
Did see the old closed listing on trademe which did not sell and am watching the members site to see if he lists anything else so I can ask them If they still have it .
