I know it's not terribly "vintage" but it is old and no-one has stock anymore to "try" it.
I have a machine I want to upgrade to 16GB RAM, but there's a biiiig question mark over whether the P35 chipset can actually take > 8GB of RAM. (There is anecdotally a Gigabyte board able to do it with a BIOS update, but I don't want to spend a whole bunch of cash buying modules for my ASUS P5K-E without trying it first.)
Has anyone in Auckland got some 4GB DDR2 PC6400/800 modules they would be willing to stick on my board for a few minutes to see whether it will recognise them?
"dsakey" on trademe. Apple II's are my thing.
