not much bidding thus far? Guess I will have a gander at the end. The current lead bidder has failed to complete the last three out of five total auctions back in 2011. I'd be weary if that trader continues bidding and is there at the end.

Yes, it would be interesting to see what this goes for. I'm picking it will rise substantially but who knows....I've been surprised by Trade Me auctions before.

I think its 2 auctions he has failed on, Trade Me has also put their remark in which doubles up on one of them,
2 positive feedbacks. 2 are from individual members, and count towards the final rating.
0 neutral feedbacks.
1 negative feedback, which is from a single member and counts towards the final rating.
Still 50% failure rate is bad, seller should remove his bids if he has any sense, make it open to Authenticated members only it helps stop this crap.

But this doesn't necessarily matter. The buyer can always get someone else to pick it up for them. They don't need to do this in person.

I forget the name of it, but there is also a paid service you can use that does trademe pickups.

They'll quote you shipping on the product in the trademe auction, then can do the pickup, take the goods away and package/send them for you. It costs a fair bit, but it is available. I had them quote an XT a while ago, very good service, but I ended up having a contact who was close enough to do it (which was a fair bit cheaper).

Be good if you could find a link to that service.

Indeed. I wasn't disputing what you said, just making that point that collection doesn't always need to be in person.
