Hooked up the Amstrad PC14CD monitor to Frankin PS/1 today out in the garage today. Although it is very yellowed and the black felt pen writing on the back says "WARNING DO NOT USE!" and the TM add mentioned bits are missing inside it works just fine. No smoke bangs or anything. Needless to say I was deeply disappointed. Only damage I can is that the edge of the brightness and contrast knobs chipped. It has about a 12-13" diagonal viewing area which is probably treakable if opened up and some pots twiddled. I'm in two minds whether to keep or not though. Like I mentioned above I have no interest in x86 Amstrad kit at all.
