Admittedly, the extra bits would bump the prices up, but not THAT high!

I've met the seller before, he was a ex-Commodore employee, and he has a nice collection of Amiga computers, and some very expanded ones that he uses.

Is it just me or is nearly all the vintage section a bit overcooked at the mo?

The one that makes me laugh the most is what looks like an old P-II (judging by the ATX style backplate) for $999. I think the seller is seriously misunderstanding "vintage". They're not even remotely rare, nor were they even significant, except possibly to quake players, and then you'd want it to have a genuine sound blaster and a pair of voodoo II's to be worth more than $5.

Nothing exceptional about it, nothing rare or vintage about it, no real description, nor even an indication of working status and $999. Yeah, good luck with that one.

Not just you, quite a bit at the moment.

HP Touch, I want it, but not at $500 start
CPC6128 local, I want it, but not quite at $300 start

Driving me nuts, both of those machines I've been watching out to track down for 12+ months, but at those prices I just can't do it, and I don't want to leave comments on the auction mentioning this because it makes me look like I'm being rude to the seller.

Yes, at a lower price I'd be interested in that one too. I'm not interested at that price though.

Well I may need to be quiet now, someone has bid on it at $300!

LOL! Oh well, it was obviously worth $300 to someone. I'm ok with that. It just couldn't justify that much under my economic circumstances.

True about the parts with the 1200. But I have a 1200, 4gig CF, 8 megs card, connected to my 22" lcd. I'd be rude to ask $500 for it. Also have a few 500's 1.2 and 1.3 a500s (boxed in original Amiga box's) and my other 2 (1 has the usb as a fdd) and my other baby has the 1.3 or 2.04 boot, 4gig HD with 8 megs. Love the old amiga's.

And they all play Flappy birds as well. LOL freaked the kids out when I put that on them.

I have a 1200 too. No expansions sadly! I've got a HDD in there, and it's hooked up to a little 12" LCD. I think I got it for $80. The top of the case is a bit warped I think, and doesn't quite sit right, making inserting and ejecting disks a bit of a hassle. There's flappy bird the the 'miggy? I gotta get that..

Don't blame me. But it is easier with a joystick.

Are your Amiga 500's accelerated, or does this game play fine?
Curious because it'd be pretty neat on my A2000, but the docs said 14Mhz CPU, and I'm running the original 68000.

The 500 running the Gotek Floppy USB drive does play it better than the the other 500 with the ext hd and 8megs (running the Classic Workbench 68K os).

Quite pleased I got that A600 for $61. Got the external fdd while I was on a role as well. Not as good nick as my current one but it will be used to add bit n bobs. I'll be asking for advice on that one once it turns up guys. Might even pop in for some tips in person with it Tommo next time I'm over your way.

As for the A1200 in your OP it does seem a bit over the top. Mind you his asking prices seem to be creeping up in general. I see he has an A600 case without contents or keyboard for $65.

Ahhh, I was going to keep bidding, As I always wanted a 600. If you pop in then bring a CF card and I can put a setup with a lot of games etc on it. Well that's if you use a CF for a HD. LOL.

I set $65 as my top limit ;) Phew!!! Was bidding on a few items including that Acorn A4000 but decided to go for the A600 instead. Didn't even have it on my watch list.
