I've noticed the price of vintage systems seems to be on the rise, especially some of the Commodore gear.

I got my (first c64) 64C for $45. Working, 1541-II, cables and a printer!

I wonder if anyone will end up buying that? I'm sure there will be a scan online, and even so, those are the exact type of books I find at the bottom of boxes every couple of weeks! This weeks ones were "Spooky games for your home computer(BBC, VIC, C64, ZX)", "Understanding Graphics(VIC)" and "What is Assembly?(C64)"

I even got a nice, and VERY heavy transformer out of that box. Apparently used to drive a 3kW linear amplifier..

If you don't mind me asking where do you find these 'boxes'? I'm often asking friends and family if they have anything like that stored away, but with no luck.

My father-in-law just sent me a photo of that exact book last night that he'd found in his garage this weekend. I used to have that book when I was a kid - but I don't think the games were that great from memory... :) It'd be nice if one day my father-in-law would give me some of this stuff rather then just taunt me with photos.

This particular case was at an amateur radio station with the callsign of ZL1AA, under some 1980's homebrew power supplies and capacitors. It is also the same box that I found my ZX Spectrum and 7 microdrive tapes.

This box, from memory was one of those Dole Banana boxes. Probably from the 80's too.

I've asked friends and family for years, and the only real thing I got was a potential NES or SNES in someone's loft. They haven't got around to looking. And when I say only, I don't mean only a NES, just that 4 years of asking around has only maybe produced one item.
