A bit off topic, but I ran across this whilst looking for bits for my daughter's science project and thought it might be of interest to someone if you live in Hamilton.

From memory these were around in the late 80's
For what they were they worked reasonably well but
they had a problem with the thermal fuse in the transformer primary and since replacement transformers were long-gone they could be repaired by unwinding a few layers of the primary to get to it and replace it. just took a bit of time, you wouldn't bother these days
use it in a well ventilated area
