Nintendo Entertainment System bargain! Only $1,000!

This one take the prize. This is even more deluded than the ZX Spectrum in Carterton for $650.

"we are open to offers but no hurry to sell because it gains value every year"

I wonder how many years it would take to actually meet the $1,000 price tag?

... Aaaaand he'll be deluded enough to think the "right buyer" just hasn't come along yet, so much like Mr "$5000 ALTAIR MS-BASIC", this listing will be cluttering up the vintage section for months.

Sadly, I don't think he's deluded - I think he's hoping that the buyer is... I'm surprised it doesn't say "rare".

So it's a PAL NES with a reasonable selection of games and needs a replacement connector installed... I wonder what he thinks a fully operational unit with more games and a decent selection of accessories would be worth?

Well, he clearly doesn't think it's worth more than $400:

A haha wouldnt that be nice, 8:29 am, Sat 23 Apr

Q No, seriously. I paid $30 for the last boxed NES I bought, but you obviously have a much better understanding of the real value. You can have it for $400 - how's that for a bargain?! andrew9 (343 ) 10:00 am, Sat 23 Apr

He's choosing not to answer that last question :(

In the end he's put on a very reasonable Buy Now of $100 which was snapped up.

Much better. Speaking of the NES, I should chase up my mate, he had a fair condition NES that he wasn't using and I would like in my collection even if just so I can play Duck Hunt. :)
