CANON CX1 Vintage Computer Real collectors Item
http://www.trademe.co.nz/electronics-ph ... 116020.htm

I have a deep-seated dislike for dealers. The idea of someone probably buying something for a couple of bucks and then listing it for a lot doesn't sit with my lefty leanings. This guy won't provide actual photos (well, didn't ask, but I did call him out that they were just pictures pulled from the internet and thought they might get replaced) or test yet does want the big bucks for it.

It's a beautiful looking computer and the guy a few auctions ago on the first listing claimed to have been offered $1000US for it but can't be bothered packaging it up. Oh yeah, I also don't like auctions for a lot of money where the effort of packing is too much for a person.

At a hundy or thereabouts and I'd consider it the most classic computer I've seen if in my collection.

What is the CX1 really worth? My old man used to say what ever some one is prepared to pay for it...
It certainly does not ring any bells for me... so $50.00 might get my attention
The person who listed it would stand a better chance if they put a few more details in; like if it comes with original boxes and manuals / software or actually still goes! As Yetiseti points out some photos of the real unit would not go amiss.
All in all, what is the point to listing things if you command crazy prices with no real details to justify it. :?:

Yes i agree. At the very least a real photo of the unit is needed here.
