classic example of what has happened to me a few times now, you have an auto bid in and some bidder comes along and forces your bid up to the amount of your auto bid, then remove it after he has gone passed it, leaving you in the lead, and because you had stopped bidding you bought else where, and then find you may be winning a unit you no longer need.

Complain to the seller and trade me. Trade me should revert your bid back to the lowest valid bid.

Indeed, I've had this, and found trademe to be no help.. usually because I stopped watching the auction once I was outbid and the first you know about it is having won the auction.

As far as I'm concerned, your bid is over once you're outbid. The next highest bidder should be asked permission before a bid is reinstated.

Or at least you bid should be removed to the last bid you made before the bidder who removed his bid started bidding.

Nup.. either way someone's going to end up winning an auction they thought they were done with. You should have to be asked to reinstate a bid.
