ZX Spectrum ROM Cartridge collection

Postby lizardb0y on Thu May 17, 2012 12:59 pm

Someone on eBay's selling all 10 ZX Spectrum ROM titles for £839 start, £1,200 buy now.

I'd rather keep mine, but if they sell at £1.200 I'd have to have a good think.

Well they didn't quite get the £1,200 but they did finally sell at the reduced price of £799.

Wow. Thats a lot of money - I paid a lot less for mine, one at a time. Some are missing manuals though.

EDIT: I notice that auction listed them as untested. All mine are tested and work perfectly :)

Yours is a nicer collection too. You might have to get them insured soon.

Nice. I only have about 8 more to go myself to have a full set.

These were pretty important to me - my Sinclairs are the only utterly non-negotiable part of my collection. I've been slowly collecting mine over a few years, and resorted to importing a couple of them from the UK. Prices ranged from about $30-35 NZ through to £30-35 not including shipping.

Yes, a bit like my System 80s. Those first computers that were so much part of formative years have a strong attachment.
