Bloody good job on the Dragon. There can't be too many batting around New Zealand; I bought mine in from the UK a few years ago, along with an Oric-1.

I'm actually seriously thinking of selling this one. Although I have no idea on what it's worth here.

And as always I've spent far too much just to get it working again

Will have to ponder it some more.

OK so I got this machine back from MOTAT and sure enough its dead.

A quick check of voltages shows nothing wrong. Swapped the CPU and did a RAM chip swap one at a time. Still no go.

The other spare chip I had bought last time was the SAM chip (SN74LS783N) so I swapped that and sure enough that fixed it.

Just need to sort out a heat sink for it now as the old chip has some aluminium mesh stuck on top then I can get back to playing Fahrfall

Only annoying thing now is I'm away for work for the next three days
