On a recent "Items wanted" thread Gavin (Ronturner) detailed how to go about checking these for overvoltage.

here is some useful text about the subject: ....

I'm going to be using one of these PSU to power my Plus/4 for a coming video, so I thought it would be a good time to check the three PSUs I have (enclosed black brick, enclosed white brick, black brick with vents) using the method described by Gavin.

Steady readings on the 5V line (after being on for 20 minutes) were:
5.18 v
5.07 v
5.12 v

Although being slightly uncomfortable about one being 0.18v above what it should be I'm assuming this is within tolerance, yes? So I guess they are ok. No rising voltage was detected. Voltages were at the values published when I first turned on the packs and they stayed exactly at those values for the duration.

Its definitely within tolerance's, I'd be concerned if it was 5.6 but its only 5.1, I dont think you would ever see 5.00v they usually sit just over like yours from what I have seen.

TTL specs = 4.75 -/- 5.25

Looks good to me :D
