Nice article.
If it has one, I could also be a flaky track zero sensor that causes the track position to be out.
Some don't, so just bang on the end stop and miss-align themselves over time.
Some of the early 5.25 floppy technology is just best described as hideous, especially when compared to later products.
Nice to see another Trio still doing it's thing. My CS-1060 still working after 30+ years and still gets regular use.
It was purchased to service mainly BBC Micro's back in their day.
