Bloody good job on the Dragon. There can't be too many batting around New Zealand; I bought mine in from the UK a few years ago, along with an Oric-1.


I'm actually seriously thinking of selling this one. Although I have no idea on what it's worth here.

And as always I've spent far too much just to get it working again :D

Will have to ponder it some more.

OK so I got this machine back from MOTAT and sure enough its dead.

A quick check of voltages shows nothing wrong. Swapped the CPU and did a RAM chip swap one at a time. Still no go.

The other spare chip I had bought last time was the SAM chip (SN74LS783N) so I swapped that and sure enough that fixed it.

Just need to sort out a heat sink for it now as the old chip has some aluminium mesh stuck on top then I can get back to playing Fahrfall :D

Only annoying thing now is I'm away for work for the next three days :cry:
