Suggests on removing permanent marker from a plastic case?

Looking for any suggestions on how to remove permanent marker from a plastic case.

I have read that using a white board marker over the top can help but thought I would ask before I try it.

Also what products are recommended for general cleanup of plastic cases.... removing old stickers, etc.

The case is an old external HP DLT tape drive case. I have repurposed it to hold a single 40 track 5.25" floppy drive and an SD card based hard disk for my TRS-80s.

If you are looking at external cases then this type is cheap on TM (this one was $10 including the 70GB SCSI DLT drive) including the internal +5V/+12V power supply. As well as TRS-80 external drives they would work well as an external drive case for a BBC.

Here is what worked for me. Be careful though. Use only small amounts and test a small area first. It can also remove paint.

Thanks Terry... I should have thought to check your blog posts first. I will give that a try.

White board marker(any colour) will do the trick. For stickers I use crc 5.56, wd40 or baby wipes.

Thanks. I will try that out. The graffiti cleaner seemed like a good idea but white board markers are a lot cheaper and plentiful in the office.
