I'm a big collector of all things Apple, since moving over from the UK I'm kind of starting again. I always like to adapt these old machines to do things that push them to their limits- for example I have an IBM XT which I have connected to the net and hot rodded with a 1 GB hard drive. I had an old Mac Plus back in the UK which I made into a web server so I'd probably look at doing sometime similar so it's an active museum piece!

If you are asking about financial worth, I'm afraid I can't part with cash right now as I have been made redundant recently. I can maybe offer a token gesture but that's all I can afford.

Sounds great! Have you got any pictures of these hotrodded vintage units and what you've done to them? If so, put a post up in the Restore and Restoration section with a link. I'm sure people will be interested in seeing and discussing them.

Unfortunately, the server I hosted the old computer museum died, however you can still see most of the goodies via archive.org, here:
