My main problem lately has been power packs exploding. My old HP laptop one went recently, just a bang, some smoke, and a black mark on the kitchen counter. The best one however, has been a power pack I acquired for some old Mac laptops. It wasn't the official pack, but the only one with an NZ plug on it so I decided to give it a try. Well the laptop didn't fire up and a few seconds later a bang that made my ears ring and the pack in various bits at the far end of the room. None of the power sockets in my bedroom work any more, Mrs not impressed. :(
