This thread is where I intend on putting up photo's of my Apple items as I go through them gradually
some may be interesting, some maybe just normal Apple items

Sundox Duel CPU 6502 + Z80, this is the spare motherboard for my working Duel CPU Sundox.

Note: for some reason a person (unknown) has tried to scratch the "Z80A CPU" writing off and
put a "made in Taiwan sticker over it" but you can still just make out Z80A ?

This is usually done to prevent to design from being copied.

Interesting.

One thing I'm curious about. Is there some kind of "switch" or key-combination which allowed users to somehow toggle between an Apple DOS (using the 6502) and CP/M using the (Z80)? Or will such machines simply recognise the kind of disk being inserted and use the appropriate processor?

It'll function as an apple II with a softcard. i.e. it's kind of CPM.

It has a CPM software interface and runs on the Z80, but it boots with the 6502, and all low level services run on the 6502.

Continuing with the Duel CPU theme... Z80B / 65C816

i'm going to assume this card has 512K ? RAM populated, and if all the empty sockets where populated it will have 1 Meg of RAM.

The plan here is to roll without the battery, top up the RAM and install a 65C816 16bit CPU and fit it to
one of my Apple IIc's, that will be one grunty little Apple II that has a carry handle
and is as small as some laptops and not to heavy It wont keep the real time but I don't
want to open it one day and find acid damage, I don't run batteries in my Apple GS's either,
there just is no real need

Still Duel theme, Duel NTSC + PAL Apple IIe

This is an NTSC video and RAM card installed in a PAL computer.


Here it is running, The TV set is running off the PAL video out, the Apple IIe monitor is daisy chained off the PAL TV set, the Colour Composite monitor is running off the Card.


NTSC vs PAL: I switched the cables, now NTSC feeds into PAL CRT's and PAL feeds into NTSC,
SO MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE YOU WONT GET A PICTURE ! WRONG, YOU JUST DONT GET COLOUR,

Not at all... even when I did sell a couple of Apples recently, I was still purchasing other 8-bit computers,
so the total amount of hardware I owned actually increased other this time period

Symbiotic Fast Noxy Card

I have plugged it in, and LED's light up, computer doesn't do the normal Apple//e boot with this
card installed, it goes straight to an 80 column screen, saying "Symbiotic Industries" , "Loading Please wait"
but thats as far as it gets without a hard disc plugged in.
