Mystery IC?

Postby Clym5 on Sat Oct 25, 2014 5:08 pm

I just went through a box of 90's PC parts, and found this among the 10BASE-T AUI thingies and 30 pin RAM, any ideas as to what it is? Google searches of the text on the die cover yield nothing.

Here's the photos. http://imgur.com/a/spfCB

Try checking on here -

http://www.alldatasheet.com/

I did a quick review of all the digits, etc on here and the only few things I could see that were 'close' (but not exact) with those codes were a RISC processor, a RAM controller for a PPC, Dual fan controller (with thermal shut down) or a 40Mhz Quad CMOS device...

Maybe you'll have more luck (unless someone here knows)

As for AMI - they are apparently now called ON Semiconductor.

Another good source for IC searching is also
