Dunno if any of you lot have done this before (I assume i'm not the only dumb one...)

You see some vintage gear on trademe/ebay etc. You think "I'd quite like that!". The amount is wayyyy too high, but you put an incremental bid ($1 more) somewhere near the end of the auction, assuming someone will come in and bid & beat you....and noone does!! haha

So won a Memotech ZX81 keyboard. Looks exactly like this (same colour etc)

Payed wayyy too much. But instead of being gutted, I can't wait until it arrives!

It actually looks quite cool. Love the blue.

I was watching that one. Have been looking for a while but just can't bring myself to fork out the going rate.

Your lucky the shipping is pretty reasonable - everything I tend to see on eBay that's cheap ends up having some insanely high shipping price slapped on it (I recall a Ti99/4a with a 'buy now' of US$29, and a shipping of US$160 last year)
