In Wellington Good Friday

by tezza » Thu Mar 28, 2013 10:13 pm

Hi,

I'll be picking up that OSI stuff 11.30 tomorrow in the Hutt Valley. I'll probably stop and have lunch at a local cafe there before I head back to Palmy. If any Wellingtonians want to get together to catch up, suggest an eating place and let me know (email me at terry@webweavers.co.nz).

Picked up the OSI gear. All stacked up in the garage until I get time to process it. The Challenger 4P with drive will be a good restoration project for rainy day but there is some interesting literature there too. Also some IP Superboards. Peter (plaing) phoned in from the USA when I was there and we had an interesting chat about the gear and early computing in general.

Caught up with Jono (Spidersweb) and partner and had a very pleasant lunch with them.

Yeah was good meeting up again, and Caitlin quite enjoyed it as well - she was impressed with herself that she could understand what we were talking about.

I need to make a thread or two for some of the bits I got and pass more thank yous to Peter.
I know where my camera is, but no idea where the charger is, might end up doing video + text (I know where that camera is).
The condition was amazing, so far EVERYTHING I've tried has worked perfectly. I've built a complete Turbo XT and installed Windows/286 on another machine (backed up the disks too).
