New hosting server and migration

Postby tezza on Thu May 30, 2013 12:48 pm

Hi,

It's likely that within hours of my posting this, my bandwidth will be exceeded. However, this will be the last time it happens. I'll be migrating the classic-computers.org.nz domain to a new hosting service some time in the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know exactly when this will be. During the process I'll probably close the forum for a day or two until everything is up and migrated.

EDIT: Back on line but issues with posting. The migration team is working on it..

After being pointed to information by the new hosting company and plucking up enough courage to learn about (and run) SQL queries at the server level, I applied a patch which seemed to fix the posting problem (and hopefully all the problems).

The issue was that the new server had a later version of MySQL, which was causing problems.

Hopefully we are back in business. Thanks for your patience.
