A younger person.

I'm a 13 year old boy living in Lower Hutt City. Like most just-teens I am very technologically inclined, but unlike most just-teens while they were playing with Playstations and Xboxs I was playing Lemmings from a floppy disk.

When I was about 8 or 9 I found the Usborne Guide to Computer Programming or something like that and I wondered why I have never seen one of these BASIC computers, but decided to get prepared by learning the language inside out. Then the my dad told me that the book was published 20 years ago and the library was extremely outdated. I was completely devastated. Luckily though, he's had a Sinclair ZX Spectrum sitting in the cupboard for 20 years, but it hasn't been turned on since the end of the 80s.

And now I am posting here because I have made it my goal to get that computer working and running. Refer to my other post in the General section to help with the effort.

Welcome to the Forums, :)

Good luck with your vintage computing efforts. Your Spectrum was a popular computer when it frist came out, expecially in Britain.
