Have been lurking for a while so thought it was about time I registered and introduced myself. I'm a frequent VCF user and have helped other computer users over the years in various forums such as computing.net under another handle.

I'm primarily interested in 89-95 era stuff have a few 486s(a slimline DECpc, Acer Acros and Compaq all-in-one), a pair of RiscPCs (600 & 700), an Amiga A600(on the look out for parts for this) and am about to receive a 286/10 to tinker with. A small selection and probably not considered terribly old but keeps me happy. Kids had a couple of C64s back in the day. I also have a lot of Super Socket 7 stuff buts that's probably OT.

I'm currently mucking around with a 486DX4/100 mobo I received yesterday which was ment to be DOA. Apart from a few PEBKAC moments it's been all systems go and the board is now sporting a wopping 64 megs of ram and attacted to a Bigfoot 4 gig drive. Now it's ready for any OS i want to toss at it.

Keep up the good work. There's a great knowledge base here and I enjoy reading the progress of members projects.

Mark

Welcome aboard :)
I tested a 486 board today as well, DX2/66.
