Finally someone has come out and said what I've been thinking for over a year.

EDIT AGAIN Ahh, it is the old Carterton one, but he'd bumped the price up even further - he was asking $600 wasn't he?

EDIT Woops! That's what happens when you reply on a mobile phone and can't see the pretty pictures - I thought this was the crazy Carterton auction. Please disregard everything below!

I commented along those lines once or twice when he first started listing it. I got a really snarky response and just ignored it from that point. I'm pleased the idiot's decided to stop listing.

Reading between the lines (on the Q&A) it looks like he might have been under some duress to push it on... the auction could have been an attempt at token obedience.... we've all been there in one shape or another right..??? ;-)

Nope - never been there :)

Wife: "Andrew, are you sure you need seven ZX81s?"

Me: "Why yes, of course. They're very fragile you know. You have no idea how many ULAs I've been though!"

Wife: "Well, OK then. Be a dear and keep them out of the living room though. And the kitchen."

Andrew your a lucky man! I too have similar types of conversations although the four letter word "Shed" gets used a bit more in the dialogue... lol ;-)
To discuss this further we should take this to the off topic forum.. perhaps with a title like: The pluses and minuses of living with a crazy retro IT hoarder... :D
