Nice complete Apple IIe for sale

Good on you scamp for teaching the owner a little about the Apple IIe. :)

I see a superserial card in there. But how about the long one? A SCSI card? Also, what's the card in slot 1?

Good luck to all bidders. Although I'd love the board (and the cards) this will go way beyond what I'd be prepared to pay. Besides, it would be a shame to break it up.

hehehe.

Methinks that card in slot 1 might be a parallel printer card.

This unit is certainly well decked out

I have the same card as the long one it's a RAM card (64k I think), the slot0 card looks like it has a printer cable on it?, and the other one looks like it may be an 80 coloumn card not to sure.

Just found these in the "Apple" section:

I see you're a man ahead of your times :D

Now, does this make it a Platinum? I don't want to jump to conclusion and assume everything with a numeric keypad is a Platinum, which I wouldn't mind, but think there'll be some motivated bidding.

Saw the IIC. I rarely look in the Apple category but seeing the IIe inspired me to have a gander. Is that a lineflow feed tray on the printer? I've got plenty of dot matrix printers. I've had plenty of dot matrix printers, but never anything as useful as somewhere tidy to stack & feed the paper.

Comapred to the Apple II and II+, the Apple Iie's slot zero was shifted down the board towards the keyboard and was usually always occupied by a combined memory expansion/80 column card (smaller physical size than a regular card). The 7 slots at the back are 1 to 8. I'm sure it's a parallel printer card in number 1, then a Super Serial card next to it. I'm not sure about the large one. It LOOKS like the memory expansion card I had in my IIGS, so you could be right. However, it also looks like my SCSI card. Both taper at the end. I'm not sure if either of them had that large IC socketed on them though? Is that common on a memory card? I don't have either here so I can't check.

Good find! I always forget to check the Apple group for vintage computers. Hmm...a IIc would be nice...but I'm well out of driving distance and monitors don't travel well.

YetiSeti: Yes, it a platinum going by the case and keyboard. The keyboards are beautiful to use, incidently.

Absoulutely agree on the keyboard, the best I have ever typed on, not too "clickey" but not to soft and rubbery.

Hmm, that may be a serial card, but I dont think its an Apple one - probably some kind of super serial card clone. Slot 1 looks like a parallel printer card (slot 1 was traditional for such cards, as was slot 2 for serial cards), the big one (slot 4) looks like a memory expansion card to me. The AUX slot (above slot 3) has an 80 col card, which also probably has an additional 64k on it.

Looks like a nice unit alright.

Wow. Is that really the IIc LCD? If so, its rare as. Nice. I always wanted a IIc, then a IIc+ - actually, I'd still like a IIc+ :)

Won't be buying me a shining white Platinum this weekend :(

Current bid : $350

Nor an Apple IIc LCD display - Sold : $320

Though if anyone is after the Apple IIc, it's back on the market and must have been left to re-sell.

No, wait. It's a different person, just copying & pasting the details. Sadly they've observed the sale price of the other one just sold and set the start at that.

I wanted that 2e too, but those *#*@* australians keep taking them!

I think the 2c is too high as the monitor has a melt mark and there's no LCD screen/extras.
I'd be thinking more $150 start. But you never know, another aussie may buy it !
