Palacefan's Collection

This is a pretty nice collection, even if you don't want to bid, it's nice to just browse the gear he has there.

I'd be interested in a couple of machines - Wang PC / Compaq Portable - if anyone wanted to do group-purchase.

Yes, an interesting group of computers. The only thing in there that I would want are the Pet Disk Drives, but they shouldn't really be parted from their PET machines.

Starting price is still $1500 according to the Trade Me site right now.

Unless someone wants a collection starter kit, I imagine this will be a "pick up and redistribute" exercise for whoever wins it.

Yeah, but start price isn't reserve anymore. (He says in the comments that he has upped reserve by $500)

Hi, I'm also keen on the Commodore Pet 3032 + drives. I've been looking for one for a very long time....

Based on ebay, I'd estimate the going rate for the Apple 2, the Compaq Portable and the older PET are worth around the $300 each.
I don't know much about the rest though.

I'd pay $500 for the Pet 3032, so do I hear any bids on the rest of the machines?

So it went for 2000. From a money perspective it was silly to sell in bulk. I would have probably paid 1000 for the pets alone. I just couldn't be assed with the shopping all those other machines and selling them part.

Yes, he would have made more I'm sure if he'd broke it up. I wish he had have. From a seller's perspective it's not always about the money though. Sometimes they just want to be rid of everything in one easy hit.
